John Sala The Old One

A brother and sister had made their usual hurried, obligatory pre- Christmas visit to the little farm where dwelt their elderly parents with their small herd of horses. The farm was where they had grown up and had been named Lone Pine Farm because of the huge pine, which topped the hill behind the farm. Through the years the tree had become a talisman to the old man and his wife, and a landmark in the countryside.. The young siblings had fond mem

Shea Ervin Gaited Horse Wanted

I'm looking for a naturally smooth gaited (no pace or trot) horse to trail ride that will ride alone and with other horses without any problems. The horse must be gentle and calm natured. I prefer a palomino, champagne, buckskin or chocolate w/flaxen mane & tail that is 15.1 hands tall and under. The most I can afford to spend is $1,300.00

If you have what I'm looking for please let me know.

Robin Murray Elmer Bandit dead at age 38

Why was this old horse left out in the pasture to freeze in the cold? He was a champion trail horse that logged many thousands of miles. He was unable to rise after being found in his pasture suffering from hypothermia and was euthanized. I don't get it. Wouldn't you have a horse like this at that age in a barn blanketed and protected from the cold? I don't get it. Continue
